$20k Invitational

How to Qualify?

There are three ways that you can earn one of the seats available for the $20K invitational at the end of the year, by winning a "Realm Invite" at qualifying events during a Brawl, getting invited based on "Realm Qualifying Points," or winning a "Realm Invite" from a Realm Tournament Invitational.

Winning a Realm Invite From a Brawl

This year, The Realm will be hosting 3 Brawl Events. These events will be partnered with other great stores and organizers. At each of these events, there will be many ways to win a Realm Invite. 

Each player may win and "bank" up to 3 Realm Invites from Brawls and Realm Tour Invitationals. Winners may give invites to other players in the community. 

Events that will award Realm Invites:

$5k Brawl Events

$1k/$2k Blitz/Team Events (all 3 team members win an invite)

Qualifying Side Events  

 

Earning Realm Qualifying Points

For those who do not have a Realm Invite from a qualifying event, there is still a chance! We will be rewarding players with Realm Qualifying Points based on their placement at Brawl Events, Realm Events, and LGS stores who host Realm Tournament Invitationals. 

At the conclusion of the invitational Season, the top players with the most Realm Qualifying Points will be invited to the $20k invitational to join those who have earned a Realm Invite (Players who have at least 1 Realm Invite, will be removed from the ranking list) to round out the total attendance of the players competing for the $20k Prize Pool. 

Qualified Invites will be based on total number of Realm Invites given out in the seasons (see bellow):

24-32 Realm Invites: Top 32 players based off Realm Qualifying Points

33-64 Realm Invites: Top 48 players based off Realm Qualifying Points

65+ Realm Invites: Top 64 players based off Realm Qualifying Points

Winning a Realm Invite from your Local Game Store

In addition to the Realm Brawls, other Local Game Stores, can apply to run a Realm Tour Invitational from April 1st, 2023 to September 30th, 2023. The winner of an LGS's Realm Tour Invitational will receive a Realm Invite. 

Have your local TO or store owner, email orders.therealm@gmail.com and request an RTI kit. The cost of a kit is $75. When they schedule their tournament, they may not schedule it the same day of another LGS located within 3 hrs of their store. 

LGS organizers must meet these minimum qualifications when running an RTI:

1) They may run 4 RTI's this season. 

2) They offer a minimum of $500 in cash prizes 

3) They have at least a Level 1 judge per 35 players, and at least a level 2 for over 71 players

4) Event attendance minimum of 8 players. 

5) The number of invites the event has is based on attendance:

8 - 71 players = a Realm Invite to the 1st Place winner

72 - 119 players = a Realm Invite to the 1st and 2nd place

120+ players = a Realm invite to the top 4

Local Game Store Challenge

The Local Game Store who hosts the sum most players across all their events for the entire season will receive an exclusive booth space at the $20k Invitational as our Premier Partner! Only the Realm and the winning LGS will be vending at the $20K Invitational. 

When and Where will the Invitational take place?

We are working diligently to get the specifics out, but our goal is to have the invitational take place over a weekend in the 4th Quarter in Columbus, OH.

We will make a future announcement outlining all of the specifics so you can prepare your travel schedule and budgets for this event!
