2024 Realm Invitational Qualifier Information page

Greetings, Local Game Stores (LGS) Owners and Organizers!

We're excited to invite you to be a part of the Realms 2024 Invitational Season by hosting your very own Realm Invitational Qualifiers (RIQs). This guide will provide you with all the essential information to organize successful events and contribute to the thrill of your community.

Event Duration and Kit Distribution

RIQs can be organized from January 1, 2024, until October 29, 2024. This year, we're streamlining the process by eliminating physical product mailings for RIQs. This decision aims to reduce costs for the kits stores purchase and ensure equal support for LGSs worldwide.

Scheduling Restrictions

Stores are encouraged to run as many RIQs as they like, but with three scheduling restrictions:

1. There must be a minimum 4-week gap between consecutive RIQs hosted by the same store.
2. Stores should be geographically distant from scheduled RIQs to allow fair distribution.
3. After purchasing your kit, a representative will reach out to you to help schedule your event and confirm your official date

Event Levels: Blue, Yellow, and Red

Choose from three distinct event levels, each offering different perks and incentives:

1. Blue Event (USD$50):

   • 1 Regular Invite per 32 players.
   • No XP multipliers.
   • Protected by a 3-hour drive radius*.
   • Minimum prize support: USD$500 (combination of cash, store credit, product, or similar items, but no minimum cash required).
   • Level 1 Judge required per 40 players.

2. Yellow Event (USD$100):

   • 2 Regular Invites per 32 players.
   • 2X multiplier for top 8 who did not earn an Invite.
   • Protected by a 5-hour drive radius*.
   • Minimum prize pool: USD$750 (combination of cash, store credit, product, or similar items. We recommend $500 cash but understand special circumstances may be appropriate for adjustment of the cash)
   • Level 1 Judge required per 40 players.

3. Red Event (USD$200):

   • 4 Regular Invites per 32 players.
   • 3X multiplier for top 8 who did not earn an Invite, 2X multiplier for 9-16th.
   • Protected by an 8-hour drive radius*.
   • Minimum prize pool: USD$2000 (combination of cash, store credit, product, or similar items, but minimum USD$1000 cash required).
   • Level 2 Judge as the head judge.
   • Additional Level 1 Judges as needed (1 per 40 players).

Post-Event Procedures

At the conclusion of the RIQ, the Tournament Host must:

• Email a list of players receiving an Invite (including their name, GEM ID, and email) to op.realmgames@gmail.com.
• Email a Standings.csv file from GEM to op.realmgames@gmail.com
